New software option for USA players: PP Multi From the beginning of 2016 there has been a “New player on
the field”. In trying to come up with
a short name for it, the best I could manage was PP Multi, the long version being Pragmatic Play Multi-Software. The games are not actually new, but the gaming platform
is. The base is the old Top Game software, which no longer
exists under that name, but the big change is that they can now add games
from other software providers to produce casinos with a bigger range of games

New UK Licensing Law – what does it mean for you? Most existing UK players will already know that a new law
comes into effect from November-1st,
which means online casinos SHOULD be licenced by the UK Gambilng Commission
if they want to operate their services within our country. Just like the situation in the USA which
started in 2006, the politicians try to tell people it is for their own
protection and in their best interests, which it is to a certain extent. But of course, we all know the real driving
reason behind it is so they can tax us on our play, just like everything else
we spend our hard-earned cash on. Note:
As a player you will not be taxed – the tax will be levied only on the
casinos themselves as a percentage of their nett profits. Players should not
notice anything different with their casino experience. As with the USA, the first to react have been those casinos
based in the UK or the EU who are within the reach of UK juristriction –
casinos from other parts of the world are likely to carry on regardless. So
what does this actually mean for the players?
Well so far as I can tell up to this point, the main impact is on downloadable single-software Microgaming casinos – once the

All but about 20% of them are pulling out of the UK and directing

MicroGaming Casinos – Losing the bonus plot…? For as long as I can remember (which is at least 7 years), the
“standard” wagering (WR) on MicroGaming casinos’ bonuses has been Bonus (only) x30. A few years ago some MG casinos increased their WRs and so I
stopped listing them on my websites – why would players take on a high WR
when there were still plenty of identical casinos with the old low ones? But now this year (especially in the last few months) I have
seen many other groups upping the WR on their welcome bonuses, e.g.: The Palace Group, Go Wild and Fortune Lounge have all put theirs

You may have already noticed that this Home Page has a new look with
less “in your face” flashing things, less dross, and menus only in one
column, not down both sides of the page. Having been up and running for over
5 years now, the site had become frankly, a sprawling mess! So at the end of
January I decided I had to start doing something to tidy it up a bit… in

site has grown to over 70 pages, some of which are so out of date that it is
embarrassing; so some will be totally scrapped while others will be brought

BuzzLuck is back! Some
of you may remember BuzzLuck Casino

More bad news for
American players April 15th 2011 is being called “Black Friday” by most members
of the online gaming community, for that is the day the DOJ seized and closed
down 3 big poker rooms and froze accounts in multiple banks in many countries

Reputable Rival group
switches to Top Game! The Box24 group of casinos launched in November 2009 and quickly became

More mistakes from
Rival on their new slots… Although Rival Gaming is one of my personal favourite softwares,
they have had an unfortunate habit going back many years, of releasing new slots
with glaring errors in the rules or pay-tables. To be fair, I hadn’t spotted that many recently… until I checked
out their four new “3D” slots; Dog
Casher, French Cuisine, McMurphy and Shangri-La. These slots are all pretty good! Though not really 3D of course,
they are a little bit different to Rival’s older slots and all seem to be of
medium to high variance since most of the pay-outs come from the bonus
features which can be fairly large (not mega); the wins in “normal spins” are
generally pretty pathetic. So to the errors: Well I spotted 4 fairly easily, but they could
well be more. The first glaring error is in the “Help” screen of McMurphy where it says the average
pay-out of the slot is 67%... at least, I hope that’s a mistake!!! The other 3 are all on the Shangri-La
slot; 1 on the main playing screen and 2 in the pay-tables (clue: one is a

“Criminal” welcome
bonus from new Desert Nights Casino… I had been eagerly awaiting the launch of the new “sister”
casino to SlotoCash for a couple of months…
But when Desert Nights finally opened for
business on January 21st 2011 I was hugely disappointed with the welcome
bonuses they have to offer new players; They have a headline-grabbing “$10,000 free” on their banners, but
when you look at the actual detail of the offer it is extremely poor value
for money. This is a ten-part bonus, with the first part being 100% up to
$1,000, not only is it Phantom (some
call this Sticky), but also it has a ridiculous WR of (D+B)x25. So that means
if you took the max you would have to wager $50,000 on games with an average
return of 96%. Your average loss is therefore $2,000. The maths is simple: Deposit $1000 + Bonus $1000 – Loss
$2000 – Phantom bonus $1,000 = -$1000. Your average expected loss is double the amount of your deposit!
In other words, you have virtually ZERO chance of meeting the WR with enough to
cash-out even the tiniest of profits. To make it even worse, one of the
conditions is you must win 2 x the bonus amount before you are allowed to
cash-out!! (i.e. get to +$4000). The ONLY way you could win enough to cash-out would be if you
got a higher than 104% return on your play during the WR – that’s a full 8% above your expected return! That
being the case, you might as well deposit without a “bonus” and play without
the restrictions. In my opinion, Phantom offers with crazy-high WR and min
cash-outs like this are not “bonuses” at all – they are player traps and
bordering on criminal. This bonus scores 2.0 on my bonus rating system = well below the
point at which I stop recommending that players take the bonuses. They also have a free-play bonus of $500 for 30 minutes, which
sounds much better on the face if it because the bonus is cashable in the second stage. But
again, a closer look at the detail reveals the WR is (D+B)x35 which actually
makes this much worse than the deposit match, with a rating of only 0.14! I
have no doubt that Desert Nights
will be as trustworthy, reliable and popular as SlotoCash –
but if it’s decent bonuses you’re after – I think you’d better look

Rival introduce “3D”
slots… which aren’t! Early in December
a few Rival casinos announced the arrival of their new “3D” slots. Initially
just two: Dr Magoo’s Adventure and Crazy Jewelry – but more are
expected to follow. These new slots are currently only available to play in
“flash” mode – it’s not clear yet whether they will be added to the download
casino at a later date. But are they
really 3D? I don’t think so! To be proper 3D
they would have to be viewed through those special glasses you have to wear
at the cinema. OK – I agree they
have done a VERY good job with the enhanced graphics (especially in the intro
movies) giving them “depth” and making them seem very realistic – I can’t
argue with that! But are they any
good? Well… not bad. Both slots have an expanding wild on the centre reel and
interesting bonus features. Dr Magoo has free-spins which use a different set
of reels and symbols, 3 of which are scatter pays. Crazy Jewelry has a fun
little “Jewel Testing” pick feature with large win potential. So, in my

Giant Betfair face
being rogued… ! Betfair is one of
the biggest and most popular online betting groups in the whole of In November they
launched a “Happy Hours” promotion for their online casino. But unfortunately
they screwed up the T&C’s in THREE ways; by having a WR which was
too low, allowing play on low house-advantage games and letting players claim
the same bonus over and over again. Naturally many
players took the generous promotion Betfair offered them, and many of them were
able to win. Some players won LARGE amounts! When Betfair realised their mistake, they added to it by making THREE
more mistakes; They confiscated

“What the hell is that?” I hear you cry! Well it’s the brand new bonus video
slot released by Rival Gaming on August 25th 2010… and it may well make you
cry! I gave it a few
spins in “fun mode” the morning it appeared to sus it out and here is my mini
review:- First impressions
were quite good; Graphics look good, sounds are good, spins nicely. I soon noticed a
significant difference from most (all?) other Rival slots – it has 3
lots of scatter symbols. Two of these award picking style bonus rounds, while
the scatters themselves pay zilch like on their other games, but the 3rd type
of scatter DOES pay for hitting 2 or more, though WITHOUT triggering a bonus
feature. It also has a
nice feature where wins made with the wild symbol are multiplied by the
number of wilds used – this means you could get up to 4x the win listed on
the pay-table, like this x3 win: ScreenShot. However, I also
soon noticed this slot has a couple of annoying facets & glitches… I got both types
of feature in just a few spins; with the Soda Fountain Bonus the
welcome screen says “combine the ingredients” so I expected to be able to
chose – but you can’t chose, it TELLS you where you must click! See this for
yourself on YouTube (my first ever go at that bonus!) Also, when the Drag
Race bonus round finishes you get a screen where the total amount won
counts up on the screen, with a “Continue (back to the slot)” button – but it
doesn’t wait for you to click the button, it just goes back before the

particular took my eye - Cash Drop. It's quite hard to explain how this slot
works, but basically each individual position spins to a symbol with a
coloured border; 3 or more symbols on a win line pays out, but also if there

Kasino King introduces new Bonus Rating System. Up
until now I had rated casino’s Sign-Up Bonuses on my “gut feel” for how good
they were, but I was not happy with this so I have now introduced a more
formal rating based on a formula involving various aspects of each SUB offer.
As most SUBs these days only count slots at 100%, the calculation works out
your expected loss while playing on 95% return slots (the industry average). If
the rating is over 5.0 the bonus is +EV, i.e. you would make a profit if you
achieved a 95% return. If
the rating is below 3.6 you would bust out before completing WR, again if you
got 95%. You
will see some bonuses are so bad they actually achieve a negative score!
(e.g. Phantom bonuses). Now
this rating is NOT terribly scientific because there are so many factors it
is not possible to take into account, like games with higher or lower return

RockBet casino (Rival) ROGUED by Casino Watchdog! Rival casinos have always been a little bit “buggy” since their
launch in 2006 and there have been a few admin mishaps which have got players
concerned, but to my knowledge there has never been any serious mistreatment
or “stealing” of player funds from any of the 24 Rival-powered casinos. So why has RockBet been rogued by CasinoMeister? One word –
communication! (Or lack of it!) A player had £100 go missing from a withdrawal due to a glitch

a few weeks back their Sign-up bonus had a crazy WR of (Deposit+Bonus) x25 playable on slots only and it was

Glitch delays the release of Rival’s newest iSlot; The latest addition to Rivals increasing slots portfolio, Spy Game was due to be released on
Monday August 10th, but a last minute glitch delayed the release by 7 days.
